Turkey, as one of the main producers of soda, chrome and boron, has competitive advantages in the chemical sector, being a supplier of intermediate products to the most diverse industries, employing 300,000 people in some 22,000 companies. These companies are mainly concentrated in Istanbul, Izmir, Kocaeli, Adana, Ankara, Gaziantep and Sakarya.
