Ukrainian technology giant Ajax Systems will open a factory in Turkey

Ajax Systems, one of the Ukrainian technology companies, is preparing to open a factory in Turkey. The company will employ 400 people.

One of the shining star countries of the world in software is Ukraine. In the country, which has an export of 50 billion dollars, the share of informatics and software is over 10 percent and reaches 6 billion dollars. Ukraine, which was a serious player in the global software market before the invasion of Russia, was a center where world-renowned companies also received services. Ukraine, which is home to more than 100 thousand software developers, provides outsourcing services to companies such as Deutsche Bank, UBS, Citibank, Alstom, General Electric, Halliburton, Samsung, Oracle, Microsoft, Mercedes, which are global market leaders in their fields. . There are 12 Ukrainian companies among the world’s top 100 IT Outsourcing companies. Considering that the world’s largest technology companies such as WhatsApp, Snapchat and PayPal are from Ukraine, it would be more accurate to understand the technological potential in the country.

One of these technology companies is Ajax Systems. Ajax Systems, Europe’s largest manufacturer of security devices, opens its first factory abroad in Turkey. The production facility to be established in Istanbul has a closed area of 8,300 square meters. According to the news announced on the official website of the Ukrainian company, 400 people will work in the factory in Istanbul, and at least 150 thousand security system devices will be produced per month. The founder and CEO of the company, Aleksandr Konotopski, was awarded the entrepreneur of the year by Forbes in Ukraine in 2021. It is known that in the war-torn country, Ajax Systems completely restored the current production and development of products in Ukraine, actively recruited specialists for the plant and expanded its R&D team. The company announced that these production facilities remain in Ukraine. Although Turkey is the first overseas production base for the Ukrainian company, it has its own logistics center in Poland. The products of the company, which is very strong in the markets of Spain, Italy, England, Germany, France, UAE and South Africa, are used in 160 countries.

Adding new products to its products with the war, Ajax Systems had produced the Air Alarm application with the Ukrainian Government. Turkey’s respect for Ukraine’s territorial integrity has not changed since 2014, when Donbas and Crimea were occupied. The relations developed between the two countries, the signed Free Trade Agreement, the Kyiv Administration and the messages that the people of Ukraine are always on their side have led to a positive increase in the perception of Turkey in the country. Collaborations in the defense industry and successful experiences of UAVs and SİHAs, especially Bayraktar, also increase the interest in Turkey in Ukraine. Ajax’s investment in technology is an indicator of this. With all these good relations, the number of Ukrainian companies operating in Turkey is expected to increase.
